Saying Goodbye is Hard

It's official. My world has ground to a screeching halt today with this news - CBS has cancelled CSI: Miami after ten seasons. This, coupled with the cancellation of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition after nearly ten years and the cancellation of the incredible upstart The Finder after only one season, as well as the conclusions of House and Chuck, make this the worst year ever for me, TV-wise.
Miami was the show that made me become addicted to the CSI franchise. As I channel-flipped one day in eighth grade when I was home sick from school, I recognized actor Rex Linn who had played a minor role in one of my favourite movies, Cheaper by the Dozen. I continued watching that episode and when Jonathan Togo showed up, I became more interested - the guy is so cute! I watched the whole thing and was immediately hooked. This was back before I understood what 'seasons' and 'primetime TV' were - I would just watch what was on. So, I began watching 2 rerun episodes on A&E every night, and when I had seen most of the episodes (they were on Season 4 at that time) I began watching the show every week as it aired. It was on at 10 o'clock Sunday nights (well past my bedtime) so I would record it on our VCR and watch it when I got home the next day.
Eventually I had seen all the older episodes, and it was driving me nuts that I would have to wait a whole week to see a new one, so I began watching the original Las Vegas version. (This series, by the way, is still continuing - soon beginning its 13th season, and is going strong due to the new additions of Elisabeth Shue and Ted Danson.) But I would always proclaim Miami as my favourite, and even though I'm not entirely sure why (I mean, they don't have Greg!), it may just be because I watched it first, and in that sense, it was 'the original' for me. I've never really caught on to CSI: NY - I've caught a few episodes now and then, and of course, there are the crossover episodes - but maybe I'll start watching that one now. It got renewed again, despite the fact that Miami was two seasons older and therefore more well-established. Miami had a more favourable timeslot, too - NY was on on Fridays for two seasons now, isn't that supposed to be the 'kiss of death'?
Anyways, this news has hit me hard. Melodramatic person that I am, I may wear a black armband in mourning for a while. I find it only fitting that, when I found out, I was wearing the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Las Vegas) shirt that my dad brought me back from a business trip to Las Vegas last week. As with most of my favourite TV shows, I will refuse to watch the final episode. I was not going to watch it until I knew the show's fate - as this is a show known for its cliffhanger season finales - and now I never will. I have not seen the final episode of Chuck, or Pushing Daisies, and I saw the Friends one once, by accident (I cried so hard) and now that I own the series on DVD I do not plan to watch it. Same with That 70s Show. The only series finale I have ever liked was that of the Canadian comedy Corner Gas, because it tied things up nicely and told the viewers what happened afterward to all the characters - an epilogue, of sorts. I've always thought that long-running shows should be given a season (or even half of one) to tie up loose ends and give viewers a sense of closure. This is what Chuck, Friends, That 70s Show and House all did (or are doing now), but since CSI: Miami was cancelled after the end of a season, it will never get that chance.
I hope my generation can look back on this show with fondness and actually remember it, as opposed to the shows that were huge hits initially then slowly fizzled out until they eventually disappeared from the public eye altogether. In the name of Horatio Caine - the 60-something-year-old redhaired man who single-handedly stopped terrorist bombings, rescued kidnapped children, pretended to die in the name of solving a case, and changed the way the world will look at sunglasses forever - they deserved to go out with a bang.
YEEEAAAAAAAaaaaaa.....

HIMYM - 'Now We're Even'

First of all, I was just checking my stats, and apparently I have a lot of readers from the USA! Hello good people of the US!!! I will refrain from calling you American (if you want to know why, go look up the Arrogant Worms song 'I am not American'. It's a hoot.) but thank you for all the page views! I cracked 500 overall the other day!! Yes, considering I have 60ish posts, this isn't that impressive, because it averages out to around 8 1/3 veiws per post, but still. I'm an optimist.
So anyway, this episode. I know I am a week behind, but shh. I have school, and a job, and friends and whatnot that keep me busy. I can't sit at home all day watching my beloved TV. (Although, wouldn't that be AWESOME?!)
I'm not at all surprised that Ted's first instinct when he realised he had his own apartment was to walk around naked. But let's hope for his sake that his new place doesn't have a giant picture window, cos if it did he may end up accidentally seducing someone across the street like Rachel on Friends (thank goodness in her case it was only Ross!). Lol! And Marshall's jealous awe
Plus Barney keeps bragging about dating a stripper lol... Was Marshall just sniffing Lily? And he hinted hinted about peeing and that made her have to haha.. She was having a sex dream about soeone else? Awks... Lol she's such a bad liar! Uhoh she turned vermillion - is that a real colour? Weird. Ohhh so he was trying to see if her eyes gave her away! Smart. Also strange that he always does that whe he's talking about the same thing lol... But I do love recurring jokes! Lol Barney's 'night we ____________'s are pretty funny, but not necessarily 'legendary... Especially the night they brought a horse into the bar, that seemed kinda boring. And the night they ate everything on the menu? Didn't that just make them sick?
OMG her sex dream was about Ranjeet???? The cab/limo driver??!!! Da hell?? And Marshall's PISSED oh damn lol
I love that Barney wants to bunjee-jump off the statue of liberty... Steal a mummy from the museum of natural history... Party with the mole people... and track down Phil Collins, become best friends with him and convince him to reunite with Peter Gabriel so then we got to sing backup on the new Genesis album and it was awesome. In that order teehee. I also love that he went 'you got locked out, dummeh' :P
Uh-oh Marshalll and Lily are having a fight about her 'sleep-sleeping around' lol and Ranjeet kept listening hahah
Now Barney wants to steal a camel? Not as good as the Genesis one, I'm just sayin. Cos I do love my Phil Collins lol. And his wordplay when suggesting it was pretty epic lol.. But then Ted pointed out tht if every night is legendary, no nights are legendary. I feel like someone pointed that out before... Maybe it was Ellie on Chuck? Telling her husband 'You can't say everything is awesoe! If everything's awesome, then actually everything is just mediocre!'? I think that might have been it.
Barney has a point system for life XD
Shits, Robin's a traffic reporter lol and the helicopter pilot's having a stroke O.O
And Barney wants Ted to get a girl's phone # while wearing a dress. haha...
OMG Robin had to fly the chopper haha and she landed it and everyone was watching wow.. I love when the whole world comes together to think about something :) Especially when it's not somehing tragic!
And apparently Lily only has sex dreams about good fathers hahaha... But Barney's planning all those nights cos he's lonely while Quinn's stripping cos it depresses him to think about that :(
And hahah Ted's wearing a dress! And perfume! OMG laughter XD But they're 'even' lol

And that's it for this episode, my dears. What kind of insane things have any of you done, on a bet, or a dare/challenge, etc? Which 'nights' would you have taken part in? Or come up with some of your own! And was Phil Collins better in Genesis or as a solo act? Leave your comments below! :)

Glee - 'Saturday Night Glee-ver'

Their opening song - 'You Should be Dancin' by the Bee Gees - had been stuck in my head the night before, but not because of Glee (in fact, I didn't even know they were going to do that song) but because I had been watching Despicable Me! I love that movie! And that song is in it! So another weird coincidence about Glee episode timing - go see my 'Big Brother' recap for the first one.
I love the guy... Wade? who came from Vocal Adrenaline to talk to Mercedes and Kurt about going onstage dressed as a woman. I loved his flahback about Jesse St. James being angry - he's so scary!! But I'm glad he was back, he's so crazy but very entertaining - and very talented.
Mr. Schue would have a diorama for planning out every aspect of the glee club - and I totally adore when they do voiceovers, and they all kind of run together :P
I got so happy when they said they were only doing songs from Saturday Night Fever in this episode! (Also, where the hell did they get that dancefloor? I want one.) My mom gave me the 2-disc record she had of the soundtrack when she was a kid, so I brought it out and had it watching the episode with me - I'm sure it would want to know it's still relevant! Haha
Their danceoff to 'Night Fever' was pretty epic, I found it hilarious that Sue can't dance, neither can Finn - and then I realised that they're pretty much the same shape! So maybe that's why...
Mercedes' rendition of 'Disco Inferno' was so intensely wonderful. I've always loved that song (c'mon, other thn Hyde from That 70s Show, who doesn't?) but her version was really good :)
'If I can't have you' was really just bleh for me, I have had mixed feelings towards that song - I mean what is with the 'ah-hah-ha' part in the chorus? Sounds like she's laughing - but Santana's voice just sounded bored! And she also scared me afterward, when she was going on and on about how 'I will become famous' - it was almost like Quinn's 'I will walk across the stage at graduation' speech from last week! And speaking of Q, she was MIA for the majority of this episode!
Rachel's continuing to do what she does best - irritate me - and HA Finn's best suited for a career as a competitive eating champion XD why can I not picture that? Maybe because it's gross. Anyway, Rachel went on to over-enunciate every word in 'How Deep is Your Love' and I muted the TV.
I feel so bad for Finn because he's not the brightest but he does try to do well, and of course Rachel's all over pressuring him, saying 'There's no rush' for him to make up his mind about the future - and then go on to basically say that he should rush anyway. I don't understand his unwillingness to actually go along with them, he seems all gung-ho and then he throws the pamphlets in the trash :/
Oh dear lord, Britney made a sex tape of her and Santana, interspersed with shots of her cat doing household chores LMAO- she said she did it cos Santana wanted to be famous... But I think that would be more infamous, not that Britney would know what that means haha.
'Unique' (the guy in drag) was actually very impressive - great voice, great dancing (of course I love Boogie Shoes haha) and very good at looking like a woman. Also, great reaction from Jesse when he saw Wade in the dress onstage XD he was doing this face O.O at first and then the most angry face I've ever seen from him... The only bad thing about this song was the fact that I kind of wanted a known character to do it - in fact, I remembered back to Season 1 where Mercedes had made a joke about K.C. and the Sunshine Band and Artie had said 'Hey, I love Boogie Shoes!' and I think he would have done a good job of it :)
Finn and Rachel got all mushy... And then he did 'More Than a Woman' and all I have to say is the following: Never again. NEVER again with the falsetto, Finn!!! There's a guy in my music class who has a great falsetto (he can probably hit higher notes than I can) and Kurt probably could have done OK with that song (another person missing this episode!) but NOT FINN PLEASE NO MORE FALSETTO!! Aaaand he's decided he wants to be an actor! Yaaay...? Kinda surprised me, to be honest, but still - yay!
Ok. Why does Mercedes not like Sam. WHY?! He's so incredibly sweet! He posted her 'Disco Inferno' video on Youtube and it had tons of positive comments and people wanting her to get a record deal. And then she and Sam kissed! I know I've always been a fan of Finn, but lately he's been kind of boring and a doormat, so Sam is officially my new favourite!
Britney got the good idea (which, as Sue pointed out, is a very rare ocurrence) for Santana to apply for a cheerleading scholarship, and she got accepted to University of Lincoln (which, as Britney pointed out, is in Lincoln) and she can do whatever program she wants and get famous, somehow, that way.
DAMN FINN WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THE FALSETTO!! Ok I guess he only did a couple lines. And it was 'Stayin' Alive', which pretty much demands a falsetto. But even Mr. Schue's was better. I'm just sayin'. And they all looked kinda silly in the white tuxes - very few people can pull those off! But it was a fun way to end the episode - and my mom pointed out Quinn was missing from that number, too.

Did you hate Finn's falsetto, too? What are your thoughts on Samcedes? Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of the episode! See you next week!

Bones - 'The Don't in the 'Do'

First of all - those blue birds? Gross. And they're dead. Grosser. No matter how many times they show dead people on this show and the various CSIs, dead animals always gross me out and make me kind of sad.
I feel bad for Bones because she can't fit in her old clothes, and she can't get comfortable - since I've been watching older seasons on DVD at the same time as the current season is airing, I've noticed that her style has really changed and become more bland. She's also beginning to look slightly different, of course Emily Deschanel will always be super-gorgeous, but she does look different, since she was pregnant in real life.
The tiny part of my brain which remembers my Grade 11 World Religions class quite enjoyed it when Bones made a joke about the Hindu god Vishnu, who was blue... At some point, I think before he died... That tiny part is apparently no longer paying attention. But she said 'He died thousands of years ago, so I think his decomposition would be a little more advanced' and did her little snort-laugh and I loved it!
Vaziri is usually pretty boring, in fact he and Daisy are my least favourite of the interns (wait, is Clark still working there? If so, add him to that list - although at least he's kind of cute). This episode was pretty funny though because he was all excited and happy, at first I thought he was high, and then we find out he was getting an article (potentially) published in the Journal of Forensic Anthropology - yes I remembered the whole title - and he wasn't supposed to tell anyone, but he told Hodgins and somehow the whole lab found out. This is the best plotline to involve him since we found out he was faking his Indian accent!
So the dead Smurf was a popular hairdresser, who was also a man-skank... And who looked like a woman. Very confusing. But hey, he's a hairdresser. AND THEN the grossest part of the episode - we find out that he had been scalped right before his body was set on fire! I mean, when Brennan first showed up at the crime scene and asked where his hair was, I was thinking 'uhm, hello, there is such a thing as baldness...' but now I realise that his entire SCALP was missing, and that's just... Ew.
I loved that Sweets' idea for making Bones feel better was for Booth to get her lingerĂ©... And I love how awkward Booth acted when going into the store. It was a bit of TMI when Sweets started talking about going into that store for Daisy, but the lady cut him off and knew exactly what they should get :P
So after that uncomfortable shopping trip, they cornered the guy they were there to talk to in the first place.. Carrying a giant bag of human hair. So apparently that guy and his brother cut the hair off corpses that are about to be cremated, and then sell the aforementioned hair to the salon where the dead guy had worked - to make hair extensions. EW EW EW EW EW!!!! Nuff said.
I loved the next scene, where the young (I'm guessing, first day on the job) public defender-lady who was hired to defend the guy with the bag of hair got all grossed out by everything he was saying - she kept jumping in with 'What?!'s and 'Oh my god!'ses lol it was very entertaining, especially when she tore out her own extensions and took off because she was so repulsed hahaha
Then Vaziri found out that his paper was not going to be published after all, and he was really upset, because it had been 'bumped in favour of some fluff peice about Selena Gomez going on an archeological dig'. I found tht reference hilarious (partly because I doubt she would, and partly because even if she did, I doubt 40-something out-of-touch-with-pop-culture scientists would care) and even more so when Brennan kept referring to her as 'Dr. Gomez' and saying she was unfamiliar with her work.
So it turned out that the jealous feminine shampoo boy had killed the stylist-man, cos he had just wanted his own chair at the salon, but the victim had laughed at him and said he wasn't good enough. Yet the victim had trusted the shampoo boy cutting his womanly hair. Weird. Anyway, the shampoo boy had killed him and then scalped him because his hair was 'the most beautiful I had ever worked on' and he had kept it, on a mannequin head in the salon - which kind of looked like the victim O.O (and that was enough to make me want to vomit..)
Side note: Booth's father was apparently a barber, and I loved the way he knew all the techniques and tools they were using at the salon - and I loved the use of the word Barbicide XD (there was this stand-up comedian I saw online once who had a hilarious joke about Barbicide, so every time I hear it now, I laugh.)
Then Booth presented Bones with her gift and they joked about going to use it while Christine was asleep, and bringing their chocolate ice cream with them... Which made no sense to me, cos I think Bones would have problems with chocolate ice cream getting all over stuff; she is, after all, a neat freak... And then Christine woke up :P Quite the mood-spoiler, crying children lol

Was I the only one who found this episode really gross? What's up with Sweets and Booth suddenly giving each other relationship advice? Leave a comment and let me know what you thought!
See you next week!

How I Met Your Mother - 'Trilogy Time'

LMAO I love the guy watching Barney, but he's actually just farting every day at 8 o'clock XD
I don't understand how Barney got 'religion' out of mugs... At least his other suggestions were related!
OMG CONTINUITY ERROR!! Robin said 'I've never gotten rid of anything, for any relationship, ever.' BUT THAT'S A LIE!!! When she and Ted were dating (Season 3ish?) she got rid of her ogs, because they had been given to her by ex-boyfriends and Ted was jealous!!! Also, I don't understand how people can get rid of all their stuff when moving in with someone. Even if the relationship stays solid forever, weren't they even slightly attatched to all their other stuff?? I would never be able to do that - then again, I can't even throw out old tests. So maybe I'm a bad example.
Barney is a pig, guys, I don't know how this surprises you, that he's saying he needs to 'assert his dominance'. Of course, Quin's dating him, so she obviously doesn't know about his piggishness, bit the rest of you have no excuse! But I did love all the incoherent yelling, and then Marshall 'You have a mother!' hahaha love those guys
Lol they're just gonna watch the Star Wars Trilogy! Love them so much XD And they're predicting the future lol... Hahahaa Marshall's knighted? And come on, even Barney's cooler than 'WAZZUPPP??' Also, I'm not sure why Lily's leaving is related to Marshall not having a moustache... I'm glad Marshall also hates trucker hats lol they're so douchey!
LMAO Robin in the Storm Trooper outfit haha and Barney made a rediculous cover story to cover their relationship... Evidently something's seriously wrong with Ted!
Poor Ted-in-3-years :( But I know he must have met 'the mother' by 2015 cos David Henrie looks no younger than 15 in '2030'...
And Marney is in love with Quinn! <3 awwwe he's so sweet! And now he's making things awkward but still, awwwe...
So HA he did meet the mother by 2015 - but of course voice command still doesn't work then lol
I think Ted would make a good dad lol... Except for his long-winded stories, of course. :P

NCIS: LA - 'Patriot Acts'

Lol that is why you do not drive distracted... you'll run into some guy with a bomb in the back of his truck lol...
Also, Deeks is jealous of Kensi hanging out with Nell haha... I think it's good for them to be hanging out amongst all  the testosterone lol! But Deeks may not be so manly - he and Eric are the only 2 who have ever seen Sound of Music!
The guy with the bomb was arrested by the FBI (and the Feebs are being assholes as per usual on this show) so they can't interview him... But it's not all bad news, because.... NATE'S BACK!!!!!! :D So much happiness about this fact haha
I wonder how long it' s been since he's been there... Are he and Deeks well acquainted? Hmmm he's a shrink, i wonder what he would have to say about Deeks and Kensi's partnership... And Deeks's jealousy issues!!!! Oooh that'd be good!!
Yes I'm rambling, the video is frozen -.-
Why does no one ever hug their comrades on this show?? They haven't seen him in ages, and people get shot and recover and no one hugs them!!!
HA Eric and Nell to the rescue lol I love that he tech nerds are the most 'human' lol... God she's tiny... And ooh, hinting at a relationship between Nell and Nate? I think Eric will be getting jealous...
So Callen and Sam trick one of the FBI agents to let them into Gavin, the bomber's house... But then Agent Ambrose shows up and kicked them out.. But Deeks and Kensi show up to the diner where Gavin was arrested, and find his goth-chick girlfriend.
LMAO Eric's going to 'work out' at the gym with rediculous shoes which apparently 'build arch support' hahah i knew it - he's awkward/jealous about Nell and  Nate... OOH Nate's a smart one, he noticed that Nell was flirting with him earlier when he first showed up, but not now, when the two of them are alone... So clerly i has something to do with Eric! and she was clearly rying to make Eric jealous!!! OMG!!! So then in an effort to prove him wrong she says 'Okay, Eric? Really? We're taking about Eric? I mean, Eric? Ok I'm gonna stop saying Eric now...' that was hilarious!!
Evidently Deeks says the same thing as I do, he says a word and then 'make that plural. Bikezzzzzzz....' lol cos a bunch of motorcycles came roaring towards the garage where they were waiting, the garage that Gavin had called before he was arrested.
And Hetty calls to say that a radical terrorist group called to take respinsibility for the car bomb - and said there would be more. UH-OH!! (but come on, I saw that coming!)
The FBI dude is a toolbag, he says 'oh Nate, how dare you blah blah you've gone over to the dark side' and Nate goes 'I thought there were no sides' HA love this guy he's so smart but he doesn't take crap - the best combination! Quick plot point - Gavin (the guy whose truck blew up) was an Iraqi war vet - his entire squadron was blown up by an IED. He tells Nate that he doesn't know who put the bomb in the truck - and he gets angry. Then he tells Nate that clearly the FBI has it out for him - and then Ambrose bursts into the room and takes Gavin out. Shocking. It's weird how the FBI are the good guys on Criminal Minds, but annoying on CSI and this show.
Deeks and Kensi (they need a couple name. Densi? Keeks?? I know they're not a couple, but they're a partnership lol) tried to act undercover and bust into the biker garage. I say 'tried' cos they took like 5 steps inside and someone yelled 'Cop! He's a cop!' Deeks chases a guy out the door, turns out he's an 'old friend' lol and he says someone was asking around for a small bomb - which would be used to take out someone specific - not a chemical bomb, like the one in Gavin's truck.
Densi are at the goth chick girlfriend's house, and she plays a 'giant violin' (cello) haha Deeks apparently used to play the violin O.O which makes sense, as apparently he's only 'part Neanderthal' awwe I love him lol
Eric traced the call which had told the FBI the tip about the car bombs - it's a giant abandoned building surrounded by parking lots, which, as Sam says, is the 'perfect place for an ambush'. They see a car siting in the middle of the lot, and as soon as Callen bumps the lock on the gate surrounding the lot, the car EXPLODES - it was really loud and actually made me jump lol and then I went to cover my ears, forgetting that I was wearing headphones. Laugh away.
They figure out that Gavin was not acting alone (which was pretty much a given from the beginning, since that's what the FBI thought, and they're ALWAYS wrong on this show...) and that Mia, the girlfriend, didn't 'exist' until 6 years prior. It was her phone on which the calls were made to the bikers, and she has disappeared since talking to Deeks and Kensi at the diner.
Ok I want to know how tall Nate is, is he massive? Cos compared to him, Nell's like a woodland creature, but - even though she's small - she doesn't seem that tiny compared to anyone, except maybe Sam... Come to think of it, Hetty's smaller lol so nevermind... Anyway they both kick ass, despite their small stature! Maybe I could learn from them :P Nell's now all confused cos she thinks Nate thinks she has feelings for Eric haha...
They track down Mia through her cello repair servicing guy.. Apparently she was actually named Jessica, and they find her parents' house being house-sat and they find out that Mia/Jessica had been dating a Muslim guy who was arrested for terrorism and then murdered while in jail - AND the busboy at the diner where Mia/Jessica worked knew the guy and had changed his identity, too - six years ago. Callen figures they're out for revenge because their friend was murdered. And Ambrose was the one who arrested the Muslim guy.
They go to catch him and - shocking! - he runs away. But it's ok cos Sam and Callen catch him after he takes off. But he won't tell them where Mia is - but Ambrose is her target, so Eric tries to track them.
They realise that Adam, the busboy, had set up Ravi, the Muslim student, and then recruited Mia after Ravi's arrest so that he could use her to get to the FBI. They track Mia and Ambrose to a baseball field and realise that she's there to try to talk Ambrose into releasing Gavin, so she would have wanted some way to record their conversation - and that Adam had put the bomb into her tape recorder.
Lol Sam takes the bomb from her and they go 'Do you know what you're doing?' 'No.' 'Is it safe?' 'No.' 'Do we all need to be here?' 'No.' and Ambrose takes off lol
So Ravi and Gavin were innocent, and Mia isn't in any trouble because she hadn't planted any of the bombs, she was only trying to prove that her friend was innocent.
And it turns out Nell and Kensi had been at the monster truck rally (Nell says very pointedly to Eric 'I don't have any plans tonight. Or any night in the forseeable future. Unless the moster truck rally comes back to town.') and she and Eric walk off together.. Leaving Hetty to get the last word, as always: 'I'm surprised I didn't run into them..'

Glee - 'Big Brother'

After (oh my god how many weeks was that? Five? Six?) TOO LONG, Glee is finally back!!
And Quinn is NOT dead - she's just in a wheelchair. For how long? Nobody knows. But shes insisting that she will dance at Nationals - a statement which made my mother and me snort because of its delusion and melodrama... But it's good to see her looking TOTALLY FINE AND NOT BANGED-UP AT ALL. Good greif, I know everyone on this show wears too much makeup, but c'mon! She was in a car accident for Pete's sake! She should at least have some kind of bruise or scrape...
Anyway, I loved when she and Artie (ironically) did Elton John's 'I'm still Standing'. And there was a funny story about that - until the day before this episode aired, I had never heard that song before in my life. The day before, the music video had been on Video On Trial (another epic show I watch - Canadian, too!) and it was introduced as 'One of the best-ever Elton John songs... With one of the worst-ever Elton John videos.' (You should go watch it, it's rediculously hilarious. And one of the dancers is now a judge on Dancing With the Stars. Also, keep in mind this video was made when people still thought Elton John was straight. Not sure how they believed that after that video, but I digress. Go watch it.) My mother insists that I must have heard that song at some point in my life previously - but unless I was under the age of 5, I would have remembered. I have a mind like a steel trap when it comes to remembering music. My family calls me a walking iTunes.
I loved Blaine's brother. He was hilarious, and brought one of the best-ever recurring jokes on this show ('If you want to be taken seriously, point.') He also looked a lot like Cheyenne Jackson, the guy who played the new Vocal Adrenaline coach - and was also on 30 Rock - and for some reason always plays a Canadian, even though he's American... Blaine and his brother totally ROCKED that mashup of 'Hungry Like the Wolves' & 'Rio' I love Duran Duran! :)
I also loved his performance of 'Fighter' it was really awesome how angry he was - I love when people punch-dance!!
I thought it was so cute how Artie and Quinn are together, especially when he told her 'you can do it. I believe in you' when she was scared of the wheelchair ramp - made me tear up a little! Except I felt so bad for him, because he was being so nice to her, since he's the only one who knows what she's going through, and she's all 'I don't need your help, I AM going to walk again.' Plus, even if she does get better, he's going to feel even worse, cos she has that chance of recovery and he never will.
Another heart-breaking story about this episode - Sue discovers that her baby is a girl, like she hoped, but it will have Down's Syndrome :( That's so sad that she always has to look people with disabilities, but it's such a kind, loving side to her, especially with the scene at the end when she hugs Becky and says 'she's gonna be just like you'.
I actually liked the rendition of 'Somebody I Used to Know' which is funny, cos normally that song makes me cringe  and here's why - the video is really weird and creeps me out, cos they're all covered in paint.. It's hard to describe go atch that one too. But anyway, every time I hear the song I picture the video and all its creepiness. But Blaine's version was different enough that I didn't really mind it lol and it is a good song!
Jesus-man (I can never remember his name!) was really nice talking to Quinn, even though she kinda shut him down at first - and is he now in New Directions? That'd be awesome!
We ended on a good note (for me, at least) Finn developed a backbone! And he told Rachel to shove it, cos she keeps trying to run 'their' life according to what she wants, and isn't even considering his happiness, but why would she - she's all he needs to be happy, of course! I hope they break up -.-
