Bones - 'The But in the Joke'

There's a skinny shirtless Owen Wilson-lookalike painting up a poster on a billboard while muttering to himself, then his bucket falls and he falls too.
Then Booth and Bones are standing over him, and he's been attached by the glue to a dead body. Ick. Also, I want to know how he was found, since obviously no one had found the body for a while! The body has an arrow through the head. They decide to call the vandal Michaelangelo since he won't tell anyone his name.
Hodgins wants to use peanut butter to reduce the adhesion of the glue (good call, that's how you get gum out of hair!) but I think that would compromise the evidence... And they also realise that the arrow is not actually through the head, but rather on a headband, like the old Steve Martin gag.
Tadaah!
Angela sees the poster that he was gluing up, and thinks 'Michaelangelo' is an elusive street artist named Zed. He denies it, and Fisher agrees with her. But then later they give him a sedative and he admits he was this Zed, and Angela kisses him just she's a fan haha.
The dead guy, Morgan was accused of cheating on his girlfriend and when they go to interview the girlfriend she and her brother start laughing when they hear he's dead. Then eventually the FBI realise it was because he was a comedian and always played practical jokes where he was supposedly dead. But the arrow to the Apparently Fisher is also a comedian - but probably would be creepy and weird... But the girlfriend's brother Elliot is a huge fan of his lol
And Hodgins finds out that Angela kissed Zed and he gets annoyed lol - then the artist and Angela are talking about art and she feels sad about how her life and art have changed since she got married and had Michael.
The team watches videotapes of the victim's routines, and there's always the same heckler in all the videos. They go to visit this guy, who was also a comedian/bartender, and apparently he and Morgan had a bit that they'd planned, involving the heckling. There's also another comedian - who will now be taking over Morgan's Friday night timeslots at the club - who used a mallet and an arrow-through-the head in his act. The arrow is missing, and his mallet test positive for blood (Morgan was beaten on the head multiple times). And Rex, the mallet-man, also said that Morgan was a theif of everything - props, women, and jokes. Sounds like motive to me!
Hodgins feels jealous of the connection Angela has with Zed-man, because of their art. Poor boy!!
Then Sweets and Fisher decide that Booth should go to the open-mic night and use some jokes that they've written for him, and also use some Morgan took, that were stolen, to see if anyone would freak out and get mad at him. No one laughs at first, so he makes his own up and people actually like him. Then he uses the stolen ones, and a girl stands up and yells at him.
He interviews her and she says that she sold Morgan the jokes because she could 'write funny, but I'm not funny.' So Morgan was her source of income, and he wasn't stealing from her at all, so there was no reason for her to kill him. Also, the mallet from Rex was a false-positive. So we're back to square one.
They have a recreation of the sequence of hits to Morgan's face. Fisher says 'this is like the 3 stooges! At this rate, the weapon's going to be a frying pan!'
Don't knock frying pans! They're surprisingly effective!

Fisher ended up finding ceramic fragments in Morgan's facial injuries, and they figure out he died when someone smashed his face into a toilet bowl while he was bent over one throwing up. That's certainly unconventional! They send Hodgins to look at all the toilets Morgan would have had access too (he uses a gas mask to look at the one at the comedy club ahahaha)
He finds blood on the one in the girlfriend's apartment and this is what they find out - the brother Elliot killed him, because Morgan was throwing up because he was drunk, trying to work up the courage to leave Elliot's sister because he needed to 'grow up and get on with his life' (so said while he had the arrow headband on) and Elliot didn't want him to leave his sister - and him, because Morgan was Elliot's mentor.
Then Booth and Bones are talking about the whole point of comedy - Bones has an adorable nerdy laugh at Sweets' jokes that Booth tells her, and then he pokes his head around the corner with an arrow headband on, and she goes 'Oh my god! Booth don't move, you have an arrow through your head!' and she is so shocked and deadpan, then he goes 'no no no I'm OK'and takes it off and she bursts out laughing - I half-expected her to say 'Gotcha!' like last week.
Oh my God Booth you have an arrow through your head!!!

This week was so cute and (obviously) hilarious.. Can't wait to see next week!

HIMYM - 'The Stamp Tramp'

Hey everybody BONUS POST today, cos I've been super-busy/lazy and while I watched the episode, I never got around to posting about it! So this post will be pretty short (and I have no clue when I will get around to posting about this week's episode - sorry!)
Yes it took me a while to realise that the title of this episode is the REVERSAL of the typical phrase 'stamp tramp' lol. Don't judge.
Speaking of which, we haven't mentioned this beauty in a
while haha remember this??

Barney 'needs' to find a new strip club because Quinn went back to her job at the Lusty Leopard after they broke up, and obviously he doesn't want to see her. So the other strip clubs in town are pusuing him.
Marshall is scared of a giant walking hotdog-man, and he ran into his buddy Brad (played by Joe Manganiello!) from law school, who is all homeless and gross cos he has no job. So Marshall decides to try and get him a job at his firm.
You know, this guy! Who I've always thought
should be a hockey player... He's just so BIG!

This episode brought about my new favourite catchphrase after being insulted - 'How dare you! And what is that?'
One of the many things I love about this show, is that it's perfectly normal for them to put little sound efffects and animations over things. No other sitcom does that!! And even if they did, I doubt they'd be able to pull it off! Also if Robin is doing a bunch of things Lily reccommended, doesn't that ALSO make her a 'piggyback stamper' like Ted?
Ted wants to prove he's not, so he walks in with a T-shirt from a band who he says he made everyone like by a band named Dishwalla (Terrible band name, BTW), that 'tell me all your thoughts on God' song, that I actually like, we used to play it at work and I never knew just how old it was haha... Lily says it was her who heard it first, Ted says the radio DJ Dr. X made him listen to the song and claims he was NOT Dr. X, then Lily says that's another piggyback and he 'confesses' he was Dr. X so Lily Robin and Barney did a PLANNED spittake hahaha loved it!!! Robin also agrees to be Barney's agent while he finds a new strip club.
Spittakes are the funniest!! Unless you're the one being spat on..
Ted has a huge collection of video-diaries from college he's watching to prove that he's ever had an original opinion, Brad at the job interview continues to make a huge ass of himself...
Loving the fact that they keep up the 'sandwiches' thing Ted uses to not tell his kids about pot, after all the inappropriate things they talk about on this show haha!
Brad insults Marshall's boss, who is in denial about being short. 'I am six foot one, sir!' 'Dude, I'm at least a foot taller than you.' 'Then you must be a freakish seven foot one!' I WAS DYING of laughter!! But then the boss got all pissed at Marshall and kicked him off the important case.
Robin got bribed by the Golden Oldies strip club - she has a diamond $ sign on a chain, how cliche!
Lily plotted to get Marshall back into his place at the firm, by putting his 'stamp' on funny videos (like one of Ted) and snacks (caramel and cheese popcorn! Which I just had the other day, and they're right, it is surprisingly delicious)
LOL Ted and Marshall in the video are talking and Ted says he's probably not going to meet his wife until he's like 23! Bit off there, buddy... Then Marshall is talking about how much he likes Lily, and I feel like he was channeling his awkwardly adorable character Nick from Freaks & Geeks there for a bit.. but then the biggest, most unexpected AWW moment - Ted approved of Lily and told Marshall to 'hold on to her'.. And her face while they see the video and then Marvin's face as she's talking, it was all just so cute!!! :)
Marshall shows up at court and Brad is there - working for the opposition!! The bastard planned the whole thing to get into their offices and steal their strategy for the case! How could he do that?! They used to be really good friends! And why would a law firm keep him hired with that awful beard, yeuch. Not gonna lie, I kinda did see it coming unfortunately. Poor Marshall.
Barney and Robin are hanging out and then he kisses her and she freaks out and says 'we can't do this' but doesn't explain why, and leaves him standing there looking sad. My inner fangirl went AWW YAY! And my inner single girl went 'JEALOUS!!' haha
Until 'next week' but as I said before, I don't know when that will be, exactly... Hopefully as soon as possible!

Glee - 'Dynamic Duets'

There's a new Glee this week, despite my dad's INSISTANCE that it wouldn't be lol... Take that, American Thanksgiving!! (Also, happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers :) ) Big Bang Theory is taking a well-deserved break this week haha which is good, because I missed it anyways!
OH LORDY They've formed a superhero group and Blaine's the leader hahaha Joe, Tina, and Sam are the other club members, and Artie can't be 'a certain telepathic wheelchair-bound leader of a certain group of superheroes' so he's Dr. Y instead lol, I love Blaine's cape!
There's an energency in the choir room - their Nationals trophy is missing and there's a laptop in its place, of a video of a certain someone holding the trophy with a pixellated face and a Warblers jacket threatening them, saying they've lost their trophy, and soon they'll lose their title. Damn that Sebastian!!
Ryder and Jake get in a man-argument in the hallway over Marley because Ryder suddenly decided to be mad at Jake for how he treated her... Awkward.
Finn can't handle teaching (or Kitty's attitiude) and Blaine leaves to get the trophy (because Finn didn't even notice it was missing lol)
Finn's also unsure about the whole superhero thing, but I know he'll come around eventually, even if it is last minute and in a shower curtain like in the season 1 Lady Gaga episode haha.. Beiste tries to convince him (she's onboard with the superhero thing, too) and also he's never had coffee before. What was he drinking with Rachel when they were at that coffee shop 24/7 last season?!
Blaine goes to Dalton and runs into, guess who, Sebastien - who claims he's innocent, that the new captain of the Warblers was the one who stole the trophy. This guy's got a cat, a giant spinny chair, and a fireplace.
Remind you of anyone?
They try to convince Blaine to rejoin them (by giving him a blazer and making him sing Kelly Clarkson's 'Dark Side') Finn's next idea (the first one was to do Foreigner songs in foreign languages and in ethnic costumes) is to pair up everyone with their nemeses - I think the idea of Ryder and Jack is a good idea to have them work together to make them get over themselves, but I feel bad for Marley having to be paired with Kitty, that's like she's punishing her!! Speaking of whom, Kitty decided everything and gave Marley all the instructions, she has decided to call herself 'Femme Fatale because the translation means 'kill women', and that's exactly what I'm gonna do when I'm on that stage' (causing Marley to mutter 'no, it doesn't') lol and now I hate her even MORE!! Being a bitch and butchering French? This girl's gotta go!
Jake and Ryder are battling to be called 'Mage Stud' so they decide to finish their fight from earlier by ripping off Clark Kent outfits to reveal Superman outfits with the logo 'MS' on them, which I appreciated for 2 reasons - the obvious one, and because it led to the following priceless exchange between Artie and Finn: 'Isn't MS a degenerative nerve disease?' 'I thought it was a girl's magazine.' LOVE FINN!
Finn's next genius idea is actually not bad, because he wants to make Jake and Ryder sit in a room together and not leave until they've told each other their deepest weaknesses... Which, if they were real enemies would be the worst idea EVER, but this is a TV show so I'm sure it'll work. Also, I LOVE whoever is writing this week's episode because Jake says 'You sound like Yoda, dude..' and Finn counters with 'Deal do we have?' HAHAHA
Now, Finn's not short or green enough, but it was still funny!!

Kitty decides she's gonna be nice to Marley because she now has enough control over Marley's life to feel secure about herself... Anyway they sing together and they're fine and friends now, because Marley's finally 'skinny enough' for Kitty to approve of her... Which is b/s because she says she's been throwing up every day but I thought Ryder convinced her to stop?!
Right after that, Britney notices Blaine's absence because she doesn't smell rasberry hair gel haha and Finn admits that Blaine wants to return to Dalton. (I just love how that school has a zero-tolerance bullying policy at their own school, but will let their students threaten and rob other schools!) Then Artie looks all scared and says 'He's been taken by the dark side!'
Lots of Star Wars references for a superhero episode...

Jake and Ryder are locked in the locker room and Jake hands Ryder a note with his weakness, and Ryder is all 'nuh-uh, don't just give me a note, man up and tell me!' and Jake says that he feels like he never fits in because he's half-white, half-black, half-Jewish. And people always remind him of that. Which is weird, because I've never seen anyone be picked for that O.O Things must be different in the States. Then Ryder looks like he's gonna leave without spilling his guts, but then Jake tells him to 'man up' and he drops the last thing I expected - 'I told you not to just give me a note because I can't read it.' Holy crap! Although that would explain the whole thing where he has terrible marks but studies all the time. Poor kid.
Jake tells Finn about Ryder's illiteracy, and Finn sends him to a special ed teacher to do some tests and he looks really stressed, but he comes out and apparently is dyslexic. Aww.. But he's gonna get help! And he realises that Jake has his back... Awww
Ryder returns the favour when Jake is getting picked on (along with Marley's mother) in the cafeteria by those jerk football players... He comes up and goes 'hey, back off' and the rest of the Glee club (and Becky) come up and look all badass and stare down the jocks.
Then Jake feels all bad and decides to call PUCK!!!! Who is wearing a superhero costume with a giant red mohawk and standing outside of Graumann's Chinese Theater haha
Ryder has to break his date with Marley because he has an appointment with the dyslexic specialist, and Kitty is all 'well it sounds like he just blew you off cos you're not good enough for him' SHUT UP WOMAN!! And then Marley decides she's going to ask Jake out on a date instead. Oh no, I can't see this going well...
I know Marley has a brain, why doesn't she use it?!!
STOP LISTENING TO KITTY!!!!

Finally, someone talks some sense, and Sam has a heart-to-heart with Blaine and convinces him that McKinley is his home, so he will stay there - and then Blaine goes 'ok, but one last mission first.' AND THEN possibly the best scene of the entire episode (although Jake and Ryder's staredown/eyebrow faceoff at the beginning was a close second) they break into Dalton - in full superhero getup, to boot - and take back the trophy!! And as they run across the lawn, cartoon bubbles pop up saying 'Bam!' and then 'Slaine!' Ahaha I see what you did there!! And when they get back and return the trophy, Sam says breaking in was like 'the Death Star, Mordor and the Temple of Doom all wrapped into one' bringing the Star Wars reference total to 3, for those of you keeping track at home.
Then they all sing my FAVOURITE song of all time, 'Some Nights' by fun., and I was really worried that if I didn't like their rendition, it would ruin my love of the song but they were fine (although of course not as good as the original!) and Kitty and Marley share a verse and then as they walked away from each other Kitty rolled her eyes and made a face that was full of attitude, so we know the bitch isn't gone for good, unfortunately. But Jake and Ryder seem fine, for now. Although we all know that's only gonna last until they find out about how Marley's double-dating them...
Anyway, has anyone else noticed that Sam's been stepping up to solve all of people's self-confidence problems? In like every episode? First Marley, then Britney, now Blaine?
There's one real superhero this season.
This episode was probably my favourite this season :) I love seeing Finn more, he's an incredible teacher, and the theme of the superheroes were so funny... Can't wait for more next week! Leave a comment, and as always, thanks for reading!

CSI - 'CSI on Fire'

The desert. BOOM. Fire. In the desert.
Russell and Finn arrive to see a bunch of army dudes combing over the giant fireball on the ground. Finn mentions that it looks like the beginning of an alien invasion movie.
That's right Finn, they're coming to get you...
A cop who was first on the scene shows them what he believes to be a mass grave. They comb through some dirt and uncover a hand. Then some FBI lady comes over and getsd mad about their 'interfering with her federal investigation' (which makes no sense, because they're nowhere near the fire...) and Russell cites a long number at her , says it's their jurisdiction because of the body, and she backs off, causing him to go 'Huh. That's the first time that's ever worked.' You go, Russell!!
When they return from commercial, they've found more bodies, and soil, plants and bugs which show that the bodies were not buried there originally, but came from somwhere farther north in the USA.
Then Finn uncovers a necklace on one of the bodies, and freaks out. She runs over to her computer and compares it to a picture. Apparently it belonged to a girl named Janet Warren who disappeared over 2 years ago and she and Russell had both worked the case. He won't let her contact Janet's mother yet, until a positive identification is made, and she starts talking about a guy named Cooley who they suspected of killing Janet 2 years ago in Seattle - and since there are now 8 bodies uncovered, he's a serial killer. Also uncovered was a class ring from 1987.
Henry found the identities of 2 more of the bodies, both victims fit the same profile, had traces of date-rape drugs in their systems and were last seen approximately a decade ago in the same part of downtown Seattle, close to Cooley's office.
She's disappeared and Russell tracks her phone to Seattle. He calls someone named Mike and next we see Finn being pulled over by a cop - Mike. Also, her ex-husband, apparently.
The place where they suspected Cooley had buried the girls in Seattle is now developed into a subdivision. Because Cooley sold the land to cover his tracks.
Janet Warren's mother drove down to Vegas and BEGS to see her daughter - who is basically a mummified corpse, why would a parent want to see that?
Finn tracks the class ring to an Eric Louie who had ordered a new ring because his girlfriend at the time had lost it after she dumped him - he's now a cop, and the ex-girlfriend is now his wife. She says she didnt know Tom Cooley very well in highschool but had once been to a party on his ranch.
They also uncover that Cooley's best friend from higschool was a developer who Cooley had hired to develop the land on his ranch, that deal made the best friend a millionaire who retired to the Virgin Islands, and then died 3 weeks later, while scuba diving. Coincidence? I think not!
At least he didn't end up like this scuba diver...
Then they turn on the TV and see Cooley on the tube, offering money to clear his name, acting like he is a victim, because he was 'persecuted' by Finn. She's standing in Mike's house and he tells her 'you should put the mug down Jules' and she starts ranting about what a bastard he is, then throws the mug at the TV and breaks both. Then he goes 'Not the TV!' and she says 'My TV. I paid for it'. HAHA gotta love Finn, she's a feisty one.
Cooley and his a-hole attorney are at the police station, talking smack to Brass (who, don't wprry, can hold his own) and then he lets them leave, with a warning.
Finn shows up at Cooley's hotel room (OK not the smartest idea, girlie, what're you doing?!) and he's not surprised to see her, but to my surprise, he doesn't tell her to get out, he just tries to play mind games with her about how he's better than she is, and then says 'how do you know I'm not gonna kill you right now?'
Finn returns to HQ to find Russell on his way out - he just got a call saying that Cooley committed suicide in his hotel room - and of course it's super-suspicious that she'd been there, but even though it's more than likely murder, she wants them to try and figure out what actually happened. He was also drunk and had a perscription for the drug that was found in the systems of the dead girls.
They don't know who would have killed Cooley, but figure it was probably one of his accomplices covering his tracks, but his best friend was already dead. Finn goes back to Seattle, and talks to the cop's wife. She says that when she had gone to that party, it was just her and 3 teenage boys - Cooley, Max the contractor, and a third guy, Gavin. The lawyer. She'd been drinking and said she could usually hold her booze, but that night she blacked out and then when she woke up, she was in a hole and the boys were shovelling dirt onto her. She got up and escaped and they yelled after her 'no one's gonna believe you, whore!'. That's how the ring was lost, and wound up in dirt from the ranch.
Greg and Russell find a magnet that Gavin had used to break into Tom's room and he confesses and gives them the names of the other unidentified girls.
Finn says that it cost her 2 years, 2 jobs, and one marriage, but she finally got him, so she's happy.
I liked this episode. Poetic justice dished out to a cocky serial murderer, and I'm glad we got to learn more about Finn in this episode, she's always been quite the enigma!!
Until next week, my dear CSI fans, stay awesome, and thanks for reading!! :)

CSI - 'Fallen Angels'

All righty, so this is a 'bonus post' of sorts, because I never got around to posting last week's CSI recap.. So you get 2 in one day! Yay!
Also, as of today, my blog has had over 3000 pageviews!! Double yay!!
Thanks to everyone who reads and clicks and such, I really appreciate all of you! :)
The opening is in a graveyard, and for a second I thought I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer - and there are trippy flashbacks to a crazy emphatic preacher-man. Who is now dead.
His name is Rev. Rick Reiken, who died by a single GSW to the head. They're wondering why he's in that particular place, and Russell points out a plant near the tombstone he's lying on, suggests the victim had brought the plant with him, and then Nick walks up and says 'No, that was me. I put that there last week.' Whaat?? DUN DUNN it's Warrick's grave! Is it just me (since I've been watching a lot of reruns lately) or have they been mentioning him more and more frequently??
C'mon, who could forget this guy?
They interview a gang dude Aaron Voss who says that he doesn't know anything about the shooting, and that people like the reverend, and Warrick 'talked a good game, but never really changed anything.'
Nick goes to someone's house and sees a kid's chalk drawing on the sidewalk outside, so he steps over it (aww!). When he knocks on the door, a little boy pops out from beside the house and Nick says hi to him, apparently this is Warick's kid Eli (who I'd forgotten all about) and then his mother Tina comes out of the house all bedraggled and mad-looking and bitches at Nick for 'coming near my son'. Well ex-CUSE me, lady, but by the looks of things, Nick would be a better role model to your son than you are...
Greg and Hodges find crushed OxyContin on the seat of the reverend's pants, and blue chalk on his shoes - so that leads them to believe he'd been at Tina's house. Great, more of her. Being rude to Sara this time, and refusing to let them in. But my girls have a warrant!
That house is so disgusting, everything is dark, there's food and garbage and junk and ROACHES everywhere. It makes Sara sad, apparently the place used to be Warrick's, and when he was killed he'd been trying to get custody of Eli. Then they find a pair of man's pants with a bundle of weed in the pocket, and a bottle of Oxy with a fingerprint on it, which Sara finds as a match to a parolee named Cliff Paul, and Finn says 'Aggravated assault, domestic battery - and she's trying to keep YOU guys out of her house?' Amen to that.
Then Tina bitches some more about how 'CSI let McKeen murder my husband, and then you let him kill other people too' to paraphrase: 'bla bla bla I'm a druggie and a terible mother but this is all your fault' (am I the only one who remembers that the season premieres of season 9 AND this year were all about them trying to stop McKeen?!) Child protective services shows up to take Eli away and he's so sad poor kid :( No sympathy for Tina though!!
Crazy lady wrestling with a cop...
The cops track Paul to his apartment and find that he's dead because he jumped out a second-story window. Apparently someone came to his door and tried to attack him so he ran and jumped, even though he was armed with a gun (likely the one used to kill the reverend) and they find a CSI-type flashlight under the couch that has dried blood on it - Cliff Paul's - and more blood on the floor - not Cliff's. A fingerprint on the battery inside the flashlight belonged to (drumroll) Warrick O.O
Eli tells Nick that he was scared of Cliff because he would yell and beat Tina, but then she'd told him that Cliff wouldn't come around anymore.
Apparently Tina had fallen prey to a scam the Reverend was running, and given her house away to him. She was mad (accuses Nick of 'kicking down her door'... He was nowhere near the door...) and says she gave Warrick's CSI 'junk' away to some kid Warrick had looked out for. Nick finds the kid, James, who admits to fighting with Cliff. His aunt says that James' mother killed herself because she was having hallucinations. James tells Nick that he wanted the Reverend and Cliff dead because of how they treated Warrick's family - and then they just died. It's happened before, to a guy named Ben who was bullying him and stolen his shoes had disappeared and the shoes had reappeared out of nowhere - with a trace amount of blood on them. James feels like the universe (or Warrick, his 'guardian angel') is granting him wishes.
Tina is begging Sara to help her get Eli back, and Sara's like 'yea right.. You gotta fix yourself first!!'
I won't bore you with the details, but they find Ben's body, and a hair of a male relative of James. No one knows who James' father is but there was money sent to his aunt from an account opened by Warrick. O.O 'Banking from beyond' says Morgan.
Aaron Voss was shot, but by a random gang member not associated with anything else.
Then they discover that Aaron Voss was James' father! And therefore he was the one killing everyone. He denies it, of course, but they've got evidence!
Damn now I'm sad again, because James and Nick have a heart-to-heart abut Warrick, and then Tina has a big turnaround and apologises to Sara, who lets her see Eli before he has to go stay with a foster family for a few days.. And here come the waterworks!!
Until a new episode at 10:00, mes amis!
