HIMYM - 'P.S. I love you'

Ted is about to give up on his love life forever for the 17th time, until he sees - that's right - FORMER SNL CAST MEMBER ABBY ELLIOT!!!
I love guest stars who I know!!!
On the subway. They're reading the same book, but then she gets off and he yells after her that she's pretty but she doesn't hear him and teenagers make fun of him, and Lily and Marshall go "Uh-oh, stalker Ted alert!" He's made a yellow legal pad, which they promptly confiscate (along with his backup pad). And they say it's creepy for him to follow her around, but it was cute the way that Lily 'just happened' to find Marshall in university. There's a difference.
Then one day at school, the fire alarm rings and he goes outside and she's there! Because she did the same thing as him, and went to the university but got kicked out by a security guard for not having a student ID (which is bullcrap because as a university student, I know that any random person can wander around our school building), she was about to leave but then he appeared!! She even has the same legal-pad-strategy as him. It's totally fate.
When Ted tells the group this, they're creeped out even more and think that she did pull the fire alarm. Ted has a theory (on his mini-legal pad, which Marshall forgot about lol) that if both the people are into each other, a romantic gesture is awesome, like with the boom box at the end of Say Anything, but if one person doesn't like the other, it's like Jeffrey Dahmer. Creepy.
Then Robin mentions that she was *kinda* a stalker at one point, Barney tries to figure out who she was obsessed with, breaks into her apartment, reads her journal and flies to Canada to find this guy.
And this happens! But not until later... I just really wanted to put this picture somewhere.

Ted asks Abby if she pulled the fire alarm to make him come outside, and she admits it, then says she couldn't 'bear the thought of not meeting him' which he thinks is adorable, and Lily and Marshall find creepy. But there isn't actually a pull station in the lobby, there's actually a smoke alarm. Barney goes to a Tim Horton's and interviews a bunch of Robin's exes (bribes them for info by giving them donuts), and one says that if he finds the Much Music Underneath The Tunes special on Robin Sparkles, he'll know the whole thing.
Ted finds out that Abby did actually set the fire because she couldn't stand not meeting him. Which he finds cute again, and Lily and Marshall find it creepy again. Then Barney brings over the tape and they all freak out. This 'documentary' includes interviews from Robin,  Geddy Lee from Rush, Steven Page (formerly) of the Barenaked Ladies, Paul Schaeffer (whose stomach growls too much), Jason Preistley, Alex Trebek, Luc Robitaille, k.d. Lang, and THIS GUY:
It's Doug! As in Bob & Doug McKenzie!!
playing her manager haha I love him. And everyone is so polite when they 'storm out'. Robin's band is named 'Consider Questioning Authority, Please' hahaha and she turned grungy at the Grey Cup at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario, (they used to call it Never Win Stadium when the Ti-Cats were on a losing streak) which is near Guelph, as mentioned haha. Which is kinda near where I live! During her performance, she ripped off her Sparkles wig and played the 'P.S. I love you' song - about a guy who broke her heart and wouldn't notice her. Who apparently was Alan Thicke. Who then beat Barney up. And says 'that song is about Dave Coulier' (I don't even know who that is..) who was denying it on the documentary haha.
Also in the documentary, 'The Preistley' was born!!
Man, I wish they were actually making these...
And Alex Trebek and Geddy Lee credit Robin with inventing grunge. In 1996. Robin says the song was about P.S. Literally. Paul Schaeffer. So she was singing at him at the Grey Cup. Which is why his stomach was growling and bothering Jason Preistley.
Why, Robin Sparkles, why?!
When Ted says that Jeanette (Abby's character) is cute-obsessed, just like Barney, Lily makes a confession, and says she saw him at orientation and broke her own stereo on purpose, and then knocked on all the doors in the hallway until she found Marshall.
And Ted finds out that Jeanette bought the same book as him on the same day like 10 minutes after him, and she admits she's been following him for a while, since he was on the cover of New York Magazine - a year and a half ago.
STALKer alert!!!!!!!
Naturally, he kisses her.
