Bones - 'The Future In the Past'

I am extremely excited about this new episode - especially after the cliffhanger of a finale we had last season!  And John Frances Daley (Sweets) is live tweeting during this episode, so I'm really excited for that too :) I love when people do that, just like when Barret Foa (Eric) live tweeted during his special episode of NCIS: LA last season :P
So Bones is blonde now... Which is not a very good look for her lol I'm pretty sure it's a wig... But Christine has gotten really cute haha she keeps saying 'papa' when shown pictures of Booth.. Awwe so sad :(
Angela of course has kept trying to figure out how Pelant doctored security footage to frame Brennan. And now Clarke is the resident anthropologist at the Jeffersonian?! That's not fair! I mean, I guess it's been 3 months, but he's so irritating and he's quit like three times and is still there! He's so boring... and a little bit OCD, even more than Bones... His damn binders!
Hey, I just noticed, they changed the opening sequence! Not just the actual credits, but the music.. It's the same song, but a little different. Weird.
So then we see Booth's been demoted to 'desk jockey' and it makes me sad, I love his office, it's orange! It's so bright and cheerful!
Then we see him standing around Pelant's workplace because the bastard now has access to computers... God I hate when the justice system is so flawed!
Brennan ran off briefly, she told her dad 'there was something I have to do' and then we see the Jeffersonian team at a crime scene, where a body has been professionally uncovered. They figure that Bones probably made the discovery (initially Clark is suspicious that Bones killed the victim, the bastard), and Angela discovers a bouquet of flowers nearby that was clearly a message from Brennan.
The woman is identified as a guidance counsellor who disappeared 10 years prior. She used to work at the highschool Pelant went to.
Booth then is in a car and calls Cam saying that he is going to Atlantic City. Then he finds Bones! And they immediately start making out. Lovely.
Pelant went through all the computer records on the case - that son of a bitch knows everything!!! Damn you modern technology for being so accessible to the bad guys!
So Angela clears Caronline, Angela is in cahoots with Brennan and now 90% of the team knows, bla bla... Still no tweets from Sweets (see what I did there haha).. I sent a tweet to him asking 'where are you?!'just as Sweets came on screen.. It was a weird concept, seeing someone as you were attempting to contact them haha, almost thought for a second 'Oh nevermind, he can't tweet, he's busy, he's talking to Caroline' bahaha such a fail on my part but an entertaining anecdote nevertheless... Sweets tells Caroline that Pelant most likely killed the guidance counsellor because he forged a letter of recommendation, saying it was from her, that helped him get into Stanford. The forging happened RIGHT before she disappeared.
Angela sent Hodgins to drop off flowers as a message for Bones, but Pelant was there, the bastard! He mocks Hodgins (again, the bastard!) who threatens him, and then proceeds to strangle him - not going to lie, when Pelant first fell unconscious, I actually gasped because I thought Hodgins had killed him - what a plot twist that would have been lol! It made a good point tho because Pelant had said that the psychological profile of Hodgins was that he had anger but hated confrontation and instead would yell and put his energy into conspiracies.
Then Max shows up at the same drop site, and gives an angry little speech about how Pelant better leave his family alone or he would kill him (man, that guy has so many people wishing for his death - first Booth, then Hodgins, now Max? I'm sure Bones and everyone else are on that list somewhere too lol, they just havent't said so out loud yet...)
Hodgins tells Cam that she should take Clark and all the security guards and leave the museum for several hours - Clark seems very confused by this, but goes along with it haha... I'm confused too, I mean how do you just TELL security guards to leave their post? And they all just go? Makes no sense, but whatever, it worked haha
Booth and Brennan show up at the lab (no one else is surprised by this, I'm sure) and - here's the surprise - Brennan loves Clark's binders.
Sweets figures out that Pelant wants one of the team members to kill him, and that gives Angela enough evidence to figure out the code that Brennan's friend (the dead one) wrote on the wall! It was the code whick removed Brennan from the damning security footage!
Booth gives a chip that Hodgins had given him to Agent Flynn - it contains evidence that Pelant had hacked into the FBI network, which is 1) a federal crime and 2) a violation of his parole, soooo they can arrest him again!
They figure out that the murder weapon was an old Japanese sword that belonged to Pelant's grandfather. The look on his face when Booth showed him the sword was priceless - it literally DROPPED, I mean first the smugness went out of his eyes, then his cheeks, then his mouth and then his jaw, it was hilarious XD
So he's gone away, Brennan is cleared, they all have a little soiree at Casa Booth/Brennan (Boonan? Brooth? Someone give them a couple name, STAT!) and they announce that not only is Brennan free to resume her job at the Jeffersonian, but Booth is getting his old job back (yay orange office!) and  Clark can stay on at the museum because Cam has decided they need a second anthropologist so that one can focus on crime and the other on 'serious archeological work'. Clark is all excited because he hates crime! And loves serious acheological work! And Brennan is axcited too, because she loves crime :P And I'm a little less than excited, because this means we may be seeing more of boring Clark-man... But I hope all the other interns will be back! I love those guys.. Except Daisy. No more Daisy.
So everyone's happy, because and Brennan dyes her hair back (a.k.a removes the wig that was in the SAME DAMN POSITION all episode!) and she and Booth are all happy and start making out in the laundry room... When his phone rings. And you know it's serious when he turns the washer off so he can hear better!
AWWW SHIIIT he found a way to get out of this arrest too?! He rewrote his entire personal history to say he was some sort of Egyptian lord - I didn't catch the name, but I'm sure I would be unable to spell it anyway... So he's being take to Egypt. Fine, you bastard, go kill people over there. Not the FBI's problem anymore! Then he walks up to Brennan and hands her a flower - mockingly, as per usual - and she smacks him across the face! Hahahahah that was epic I actually cheered :P I'm sure my roomie thinks I'm nuts...
Then she tells Booth that the flower he handed her was a marigold, which symbolises pain and sadness (I actually knew that! Which depressed me, because I used to love marigolds when I was little...) Booth throws the flower in the trash and they get the heck outta there... But then Agent Flynn walks over to the can and picks up the flower and looks at it, then up above the camera in a creepy manner that makes me very suspicious of him!! And that's the end! WHAT IS GOING ON WITH FLYNN?! Damn cliffhangers..
I am so happy to see the dream team (seriously, they need a couple name) back together - it was a good episode plot-wise but there weren't as many epic jokes as usual, probably because of all the intensity and seriousness... But still. I give it 8 terrible blond wigs out of 10 :)
What was your opinion of the premiere? Do you disagree with my opinion of Clark? Do you want the creepy digital serial killer to return in future episodes? And what the hell do you think was with the creepy bit with Flynn at the end?? Leave a comment! See you next week! :)
