HIMYM - 'The Final Page' Part 1&2

Barney has been jinxed!! And he's going insane because he won't break a jinx, because apparently that's the reason he was hit by a bus in season 1 (2?)
In addition, yet another awesome phrase is brought to us by the epic writers at How I Met Your Mother: a 'pit person' is someone who you would bury in a pit in your basement if you had the chance, because of houw much you hate them. I think I know who mine would be... But that's for another blog, and perhaps my therapist :D
Ted's is a professor he had at university, who said he would never become an architecht (Ted sends him an invitation to the opening of the GNB building for the sake of proving him wrong), Marshall and Lily don't know who theirs are, but they know they are the Pit People of a guy from university (PLAYED BY SETH GREEN) named Darrell who used to follow them around and try to get them to play hackey-sack with him (and is now Facebook-stalking Marvin).
He's so damn cute!!!

Robin's pit person is, of course, PATRICE! Although she denies it. And she gets the opportunity to fire Patrice and wants to but hesitates.. And then fires her.
Barney has said nothing, of course, because he's jinxed! But now he comes with subtitles! And a book in which he draws a picture of a knee and then of a barn... barn-knee... Get it?!
Say my name!!
They get to the university where Ted wants to show off to his professor, and then Darrell is still there! And he opened a stand selling merchandise that commemorates the one time they played hackey-sack together.
Ok he looks less cute here and more homeless, but still...
Then he actually takes them to his basement and they freak out but it turns out he was going to give them a cheque for the royalties from 'the three hack-migos' and then he doesn't give it to them.. because he doesn't need to.
Ted shows the professor his drawing of his building and the professor still thinks it's crap.
Robin wants to fire Patrice but then Patrice realises there is something wrong, and they end up hugging and she gets to keep her job.
On the way home, Barney pulls out a diamond ring and Ted goes 'oh my god Barney which un-jinxes him, and then somehow Barney jinxes him and explains that he wants to ask Patrice to marry him. And Ted isn't allowed to tell anyone.
He wants to tell Robin but doesn't; instead he asks her to be his date to the opening of his building. And Lily and Marshall get a night away from Marvin, but then Ted calls him and tells him about the engagement instead and wants to go tell Robin, but Marshall says not to... And I'm so confused.
Also Lily calls her dad and feels jealous because Marvin was able to go to sleep without her being there.
Ted tells Robin, in the limo, about Barney getting engaged.
And look who is driving said limo!!

Robin freaks out a little, the divider is only kind of soundproof, Robin says she's over chasing Barney (but is jealous because the roof of the WWN building is HER favourite spot in the city and NOT DAMN PATRICE'S), and Lily (who is drunk) and Marshall are sad that they're not with Marvin.
Instead of going to the GNB building, however, Robin and Ted pull up outside of the WWN building and he tells her that she should go interrupt them. And for the first time in a long while, I realise how damn cute Josh Radnor is! Reminds me of the Jesse guy from Pitch Perfect (which I just watched today and it IS AWESOME I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!)
Robin goes to the roof of the building, where she finds rose petals and a paper (clearly from the Playbook) which says 'The Robin' and outlines the entire thing that just happened between the two of them (and Patrice) which includes asking Patrice to pretend to date her, and that he knew exactly what was happening the ENTIRE time and I'm laughing so hard plus I want to cry because he actually did burn the Playbook and says 'you won't need it anymore' and he knew Ted would tell Robin. Which means he was over her, and wanted her to able to go after Barney.
Step 15: Robin realises she is standing underneath mistletoe.
And then Barney steps out and she gets all mad at him for tricking and lying to her. He tells her to turn the page over and it says:
Step 16: Hope she says yes.
Then she looks up and he's kneeling in front of her with the ring and asks her to marry him. And she does say yes!
Step 17: Emily starts bawling her eyes out at how perfect TV shows and movies are, and thanks her lucky stars that she waited until right before the end of the winter hiatus to watch the winter finale.
OH MY GOD. THAT JUST HAPPENED.
