NCIS:LA - 'Ride'

I was hoping, based on the title, that this would turn into a Ryan Gosling movie... C'mon, please??
You know you agree with me...
But oh well, if he and Deeks were in the same room, the world might just explode from the sheer beauty of it. Possibly. We open with a lady driving along, looking all panicked, and then she pulls out a cell phone and I'm thinking 'come on, you know that's a bad idea, don't call and drive!!!' and then we see who she's talking to and it's Deeks!! Or Marty as she calls him - I forgot that was his first name - it's weird, because that was my grandpa's nickname... The woman's name is Jenny and we crying and all panicked, saying something about stolen SUVs, then she see that someone is following her, and she crashes.
At Ops, Sam is making fun of people for their New Year's resolutions, including Deeks wanting to get to work earlier, and then Deeks pops out, he was upstairs the whole time. Attaboy!
Turns out that Jenny was kidnapped, the SUVs she was talking about had been stolen and used in terrorist attacks in South America. Deeks used to be a public defender, he'd worked with Jenny years earlier when she was arrested for drugs. Her daughter Talia is going to university in town.
Callen and Sam find a crushed thumb drive and lots of garbage in Jenny's van. Deeks and Kensi go to talk to Talia, who doesn't remember Deeks, and has nothing but animosity towards her mother - hasn't seen her in over 2 years, and wants nothing to do with her because 'she's always in trouble' and 'I wake up every day prepared to hear that she's dead'. Wow that's pretty brutal. Poor girl :(
Nell and Eric can't find anything on the crushed USB drive, and use the cheesy 'back to square one?'-'Not quite' dialogue, and explain that they got a lead from the video of Jenny being kidnapped, there's a bumper sticker that's been torn off the getaway car. This leads Deeks and Kensi to talk to a rich lady whose car it was, she had security cameras that showed a guy opening the door and taking the car - apparently there was a break-in a few weeks earlier, and the burgler took a spare car key.
Callen and Sam 'chase down' (And I use the quotation marks because he was jogging and puffing, they were just walking behind him hahaha) a Spanish guy they know named Jamie (pronounced HAY-mee) who knows all about stolen cars.
Such an intense chase, am I right??
The owner of the stolen car apparently shopped a lot, which leads Eric to mention that he spends WAY too much on action figures, Nell mocks him, and then reveals that her New Year's resolution is to stop using her phone, email and computer on the weekends, because she uses too much technology at work. And Eric panicks because 'what if I have to call you?' haha poor guy...
Jamie says he knows who they're looking for, but he can't tell them or he'll be in trouble - so they give him Kensi to use as an undercover car theif, and when the chop shop guys try to beat up Jamie, she kicks their asses hahaha. Kensi has a fake 'app' on her phone that unlocks, starts and turns off the alarm on an SUV they've planted (it's actually Deeks using the remote from around the corner) and he starts talking like OnStar lmao!! Then they take the car and a cop car starts chasing them! Kensi starts driving like a crazy person to get away from them, talking with her Spanish accent the whole time, and successfully hides! Turns out the cops were just Sam and Callen lol cute. The chop shop guy Esposito starts hitting on Kensi and she blows him off.
Deeks undercover: '$14.99 phones! Get 'em while they're hot! Get 'em while they're... still phones!'
For whatever reason, they're still tailing Talia and find out she has been in contact with her mother - and that she's stopping every 2 blocks, meaning either she's on the bus, or 'she's selling Girl Scout cookies' ahahah good one Hetty!! Sam and Callen see her getting atacked by some guy in a black hoodie, and Callen is chasing him down but then he steals a motorbike and takes off. Sam asks Talia if she really has anything she knows about her mother, and she says 'yea, now they're going to kill her.'
Apparently someone called her saying she had to bring her laptop to the park or they'd kill her mom, and not to contact the police. Her mother had sent her an email the day before that she couldn't open, so Eric tries to but can't and there's another one saying 'the key is in the stack' which Sam recognises as a computer term (I did too - finally computer science comes in handy!) but then they figure out that the 'stack' is a physical pile, of birthday cards, one of which is musical - and when they play it, it opens the file which is a link to a landscaping website, and a picture - of the gardener guy that saw outside the rich lady's house!!! I knew it!! They don't just throw in random servant people for no reason, unless they're involved somehow!!!
But this is a problem, because he's seen Kensi before, when she and Deeks walked up to the house and said 'buenos dias' to him before!! Ohhhh snap... They keep telling her to turn around and talk to him, and he immediately recognises her and pulls his gun on her. And then everyone stares at each other with guns drawn but no one actually shoots. Typical television -.-
Deeks is standing outside yelling into his headset (like no one would notice him) and then in a desperate move walks into the garage with his sunglasses on (so the bossman wouldn't recognise him) and then they all get lined up and tied up without anyone actually shooting anyone...
Sam and Callen pull up outside and then take one of the tow trucks and drive it right into the garage!!
They take down most of the thugs, but Esposite corners Kensi and has her in typical hostage-pose, when Jamie (who was hiding under a car - how'd he fit under there??) grabs a flamethrower and burns his leg HAHA genius!! Bang bang, they're all dead - and Jamie's stuck under the truck and they all go looking for Jenny and leave him there! They look in the junkyard and Eric using GPS infrared, find her inside a car in a shipping crate and she's dehydreated but she's fine. She got all the info on the bad guys because she'd done bookkeeping for them.
Kensi and Callen failed their resolutions so Sam is making fun of them lol - and it turns out the stolen cars will be shipped, but with tracking systems installed - and IT'S DEEKS' BIRTHDAY!!! But Kensi made dinner plans with someone else - awkward!!
Aw then she gets there and it turns out it was Jamie, and his mom? Aww.. Lol of COURSE he told his mom they were dating - so funny!!!
'Ay Carumba' is right!
