and the girl who played Gretchen Weiners in Mean Girls. We're an entertaining bunch, us people born on September 30th.
Now, off the topic of my new favourite hobby (celebrity birthdays) and on with the show!!!
Ted is not happy because everyone else is happy, and Marvin is also not happy. Because he's constipated. And Ted is trying to eat haha, so Lily changes 'poop' to 'confetti'. Also, she wants to plan Robin's wedding, and Ted's binder is bigger than hers. And that's just his cake binder. Oh boy. I have a feeling this is gonna be like Monica all over again. Lily wants to cut a bitch.
Also Ted just said Slytherin. Apparently Robin's dad is very scary, and always looks like he just came from slapping someone in the back room.
Robin wants Barney to meet her dad - who is wearing a Hawaiian shirt, and has a new girlfriend. He wants to know if Robin is familiar with memes. And he says he's fun now haha. But 'grown men should not be blonde', which Barney is, so obviously that's a problem.
Robin sounds like she has a cold. Or maybe that's Colbie with the cold. Coldbie? And her dad said 'permission denied' - he won't let Barney marry Robin. So Barney dyed his hair black (he looks like the guy from Green Day!).

But her father is still very stubborn, because he's Canadian, and apparently when we want to marry people up here, we kill bears and give their pelts to our fiance's fathers O.o
Ted and Lily are fighting because Lily wants a certain band for the wedding, and Ted wants to hire a DJ. Ted said 'wiki-wiki-burn' HAHAHA and Robin accepts her dad's friend request on Facebook, despite the gang warning her not to. Apparently Marshall was a cheerleader in highschool.
She storms over to Barney's, where her father is trying to convice Barney to shoot a rabbit (OMG NO!) and she confronts him over the fact that apparently, he's married. So Robin tells him 'fine, if you won't invite me to your wedding, I'm not inviting you to mine' and storms out.
Turns out Ted booked the band Lily wanted so that they wouldn't be 'avaliable' and when she finds out he says 'I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been - a really stupid and expensive plan.' LOL I love when they take classic lines and change them up!! And this is one of the best shows for doing that!
Lily knows what Ted's real problem is - he's in love with Robin and doesn't want her to marry Barney. She drags him up to the roof and makes him admit it. Then she makes an admittance of her own, and says that she sometimes feels like she shouldn't be a mom. And then she starts crying, and that makes me cry, because Lily is the most likeable and real person on this show, and it's so sad!!!
They go back inside and Marvin has started 'confetti-ing' all over Marshall. EWWWW I'm a little nauseous, even though they show it as being confetti.
Robin still sounds sick, and her father says that he's going to divorce Carol so that Robin will forgive him. She tells him he's crazy (and she still sounds sick!) and says that she just wants him to be a normal dad at her wedding.

And Ted tries to convince her to get a DJ but she wants a band, and then it's 4 months later and Ted is telling the girl played by Rachel Bilson that he was right, the band cancelled like he knew they would, and she says 'oh hey we just had lunch with my ex-roommate, the bass player, who is in an awesome wedding band' and then OBVIOUSLY THAT'S HOW HE MEETS THE MOTHER!!! HOLY CRAP NOW WE KNOW HOW HE MEETS THE MOTHER!!!! THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! EXC..ept for the fact that there is very little left to figure out now - and their wedding happens in April of 2013, so that means - shit. The show is drawing to an end, mes amis.
Cue the sad exit music.
Update: CBS has renewed them for a 9th season! Yay! So we have at least 1 more year of their crazy antics!
