NCIS: LA - 'Blye, K.' (part 2)

My dad was 100% convinced that she was dead (although he may have been joking...) I was sure she wasn't because of two things: (conveniently, both happened on Twitter) 1) Daniela Ruah (Kensi) posted the new 'cast photo' for promos and whatnot - and she was in it. Also 2) Eric Christian Olsen (Deeks!) answered a fan question ('Will there be a future episode where Deeks and Kensi go undersover as husband and wife') with a 'yes' and a specific episode number. Kinda hard to do that if she's dead.
Now, I had assumed that she had actually been shot and bleeding, then they would take her to a hospital and rush her into surgery, but she'd survive. I did not expect her to jump up and pick up a bullet (clearly she was wearing a vest) and then run off. At that point, I yelled 'HA!' at my dad lol and he pointed out that Harris should have been wearing a vest too, but he wasn't so now he dead -.-
The team can't find Kensi and she rund off and follows some guy who she believes is the one who shot at her, then she beats him up and jumps in his van. She follows the GPS to a house and peers in the window - then freaks out cos she sees one of the guys, Peter Clairmont, from her dad's old sniper unit (a guy who is supposed to be dead) talking to some woman. Deeks catches up to her when she's crouched outside in the bushes, and he tells her that she needs to get medical attention.. They go somewhere else and (this part was funny) she pulls her shirt off revealing a huge bruise where she was shot, Deeks figures she has a cracked rib.
Kensi tells Deeks that he needs to protect the woman from the house, and when he keeps asking her why, she divulges that this woman is her mother! (I was surprised at this part for 2 reasons, I had assumed her mom was dead but I guess they did never actually mention that - Deeks had assumed the same thing- and also because that woman did not look old enough to be 30ish Kensi's 50ish mother... But hey, they are in Los Angeles). What actually happened was that 15 years earlier, after the death of Kensi's father, Kensi thought her mother was 'moving on too fast' which hurt her because she thought that her mother didn't love her father. So she took off.
Kensi then tracks down some woman named Megan Stevens (I actually missed this part) whose father had died about a week before Mr. Blye, and their deaths were SOMEHOW connected, this man's name was Stevens, he was a reporter. They sit and talk for a while, and suddenly the woman pulls out a gun and starts shooting! This confused and freaked me out a little, because I didn't know who this woman was, and I didn't know why she was shooting... But Kensi won so who cares?
In the meantime, Deeks has taken Kensi's mother into protective custody. And the team has figured out that Granger was trying to track down Clairmont (so Granger was not evil, curses my dad was right about that).
They also found out about Mr. Stevens, and they go to Megan's house to find the dead woman on the floor (Kensi has taken off) but then they realise she's not actually Megan Stevens! The find the real one tied up and shot in the backyard, and they also find out that the imposter worked for the same secret agency-place as Clairmont (after he 'died').
Kensi has somehow contacted Clairmont and he bragged about killing her father, then she goes to meet him and fight him at her mother's house, alerts the team to the fact that that's where she is, and sneaks up the stairs (from the top of which Clairmont is taunting her). The team shows up, and surprise surprise there are some scary guys in suits with semiautomatic guns waiting out front of the house - it takes a while, and a lot of noise, but eventually the agents with their handguns kill all 3 guys with the semiautos - without even getting a scratch. Lack of realism much? Lol it's ok I love laughing at it :P
Kensi and Clairmont are in a super-intense battle, he pulls out a knife (which actually freaks me out, amongst all the guns, knives scare me more) and tried to strangle her against the wall - this part was pretty funny to watch too, because every time she got the upper hand my mom would yell out 'good girl!' haha yaaay violence! At one point she stabs him and he keeps saying awful things to her about her father, they continue fighting and backing down the hall, they reached the top of the stairs and my mom and dad and I all yelled 'Push him down the stairs!' She did one better - kicked him :P he goes flying and she has some choice words for him, at which point the rest of the team (Granger and Hetty included) rush in and she tells them 'He'll live, but make him wait' or something similar... THEN the bastard pulls a gun from his waistband and points it at her as she turns to walk away, BUT he is stopped by two well-aimed rounds from Granger of all people - they all look at him stunned and he kind of shrugs lol OK I guess he's not a bad guy.
Then Hetty goes to a bank to find a safety deposit box which had belonged to Stevens, the reporter, which contains a small audiotape.
CLARIFICATION: The reason Clairmont killed Stevens was because he (Clairmont) had gotten into a bar fight while on a tour of duty, and killed a guy. The army (or CIA or whoever) covered it up. Stevens was writing a story which would have brought the truth to light, and Clairmont found out and killed him. Because he died, the story was never finished or published. Kensi's dad already knew the story, so Clairmont killed him, too. Then about 10 years later, Clairmont faked his own death just in case the other members of the unit caught on, he could now hide himself and kill them all one by one.
The audiotape contained a recorded phone conversation between Stevens and Kensi's dad - he told Stevens to take his family and go into hiding, and go find Granger, because Granger 'was a friend' who could help him. Granger didn't even know about the conversation, because Stevens didn't reach him in time.
And apparently Granger's gonna be around for a while -.-
And then he gave Kensi a journal which belonged to her dad. Everyone asks 'how does it feel' which she found odd, and so do I! Unless they were talking about her rib, it woulda made more sense to say 'how are YOU feeling?' or even 'How are you?' They say it's cos they care about her, which is sweet, and then Sam and Callen leave her with Deeks and I'm just WAITING for something to happen, but nothing does!! Basically he just says 'it's good to have you back' and tells her she should go see her mother (whose house, my mom pointed out, was pretty torn-up in that fight... They gonna pay for that?!)
So she sits on the beach and reads the journal (which is all addressed to her) and cries and then goes and sees her mom and they cry and hug (FINALLY! Someone needed to hug her all day! Why do they never hug?! People on CSI hug... And she's a girl, it's not like the guys are weirded out about hugging each other...)
But anyway, touching ending and good plotline, and Deeks had a few epic lines in there :P
Now they're not back for 3 weeks -.- BUT at least there was no CLIFFHANGER!!!
